Capture breathtaking images of near space and conduct atmospheric research with our high-quality weather balloons. High-altitude ballooning is an affordable and efficient way to explore the stratosphere, reaching altitudes of up to 30 km (100,000 feet).
Our latex balloons carry scientific payloads—typically cameras and sensor packages—to collect data on temperature, humidity, air pressure, telemetry, GPS, audio, and video. As the balloon ascends, it enters the near-space region, which begins at approximately 23 km (75,000 feet). Once it reaches its peak altitude, the balloon bursts, and a parachute safely returns the payload to Earth.
Choosing the Right Balloon
We offer a range of balloon sizes for near-space photography:
Send us details about your payload weight and target altitude, and we’ll recommend the best option for your mission. We also provide parachutes for a safe payload recovery.
Tethered Balloon Photography
For low-altitude, tethered balloon photography, we recommend our 150g balloon, available in high-visibility red for easier tracking.
Be sure to review local regulations before launching a weather balloon. You can find valuable resources online about high-altitude ballooning and near-space photography to help you plan your mission.

In recent times there has been great interest to photograph the realm known as near space. The realm of near space starts at about 23km (75000 feet).
The smallest size meteorological balloon recommened for near space photography is our 350 gm balloon, type CPR-350(X). The largest size we manufacture for this application is a 2000gm balloon, type CPR-2000. Please send us information regarding the payload you would like to launch as well as the desired altitude, so we may recommend the appropriate size for your project. We also provide parachutes for returning the payload back to earth.
For tethered ballooning photography the smallest size recommended is our 150 gm balloon which is available in red colour for better visibility.
There are various resources available on the internet to find more information regarding high altitude ballooning and near space photography using weather balloons. Be sure to check your local regulations prior to launching balloons.
Sounding type meteorological balloons are used to carry larger payloads typically in the form of a radiosonde.
